Charity launches new service in Northamptonshire to beat drugs and alcohol
A new charity-run drug and alcohol service will be launched this in Northamptonshire tomorrow.
Health and social care charity CRI (Crime Reduction Initiatives) work from premises in Northampton, Daventry, Kettering, Wellingborough and Corby as well as satellite services in rural areas.
It will provide advice, information and medical treatment for people worried about alcohol or drugs, and offer support to their families and friends.
Nic Adamson, deputy director at CRI, said: “The new service in Northamptonshire will provide vital support to people in the community who may be struggling with drug and alcohol issues.
“We pride ourselves on providing tailored treatment to individuals to enable them to get their lives back on track and play a positive role in the community.”
CRI has been commissioned by Northamptonshire County Council and will work in partnership with two voluntary organisations: The Bridge which provides drug recovery services, and Aquarius which specialises in alcohol treatment after care support.
