Man takes to roof of Liverpool city centre shop over row with social services officials
A MAN took to the roof of a Liverpool city centre shop roof as part of a row with social services officials. The man, in his 40s, climbed on to a ledge above Currys Digital in Church Street this morning.
Police were called to the scene at around 8.20am after a member of the public spotted the man believed to be protesting over fathers’ rights.
He was holding a banner which accused social services of “making good parents look bad in family law”.
Today Merseyside police said officers at the scene were monitoring what a spokesman termed a “peaceful protest”.
