Ark to expand social care offering across Surrey
Having recently been named one of two care agencies tasked with supplying all types of care workers across Surrey, Ark Home Healthcare has announced it will take on 100 extra care workers in the region, doubling its local cohort.
Company chief executive Mark Lavery tells Recruiter that the firm currently employs 1,200 care workers nationally, and 100 in Surrey.
He adds that the contract win – in which Ark was successful in being given the full remit to supply care workers within Surrey alongside fellow home care group Enara – should see the firm establish new satellite office away from its current regional bases.
Lavery adds that having worked across a number of healthcare sectors, he has found care workers “the hardest” of all to recruit, and that the firm will be looking to recruit through jobs fairs, print advertising and online means, and that the firm’s recruitment process is stringent, including two interviews and a training period.
