Carebase win Care Employer Award 2010 at awards

The Carebase care group have won the Care Employer 2010 Award at this year’s annual Great British National Care Awards.

In a ceremony celebrating the shining lights of the UK’s care industry hosted by Fiona Philips, the Carebase chairman Alnur Dhanani claimed the award on behalf of the care group.

More than 250 employers were handed prestigious awards recognising the efforts of thousands of care workers across the country working in care homes and providing care services.

With nine homes across the South East of England and the East Anglia region, Carebase offers 550 beds to its residents and has been a key figure in the UK care sector for 20 years, offering residential, nursing and rehabilitative care.

Dementia nursing care is an important part of Carebase homes, with support for different forms of the condition, including Alzheimer’s and EMI (elderly mental infirm).

Carebase are keen to attribute their success to the support and commitment of their employees, who have helped to put the company in a position to set new standards in care.  They said of their care services, “Carebase will set the standard in residential, nursing and rehabilitative care through social and clinical excellence and responsiveness to the unique needs of every patient.”

Managing Director Nicola Coveney said of the achievement, “We are absolutely delighted to win the Care Employer Award. Carebase is constantly striving to find new ways to improve the service it provides and is willing to invest heavily to achieve this goal.

This Award is dedicated to all the wonderful Carebase staff who work tirelessly, passionately and with extraordinary dedication each and every day.”
