Jobs fears at Norham care home near Berwick

A warning has been issued that jobs could be at risk at a residential care home at Norham, near Berwick, because of the slump in the car industry.

Birch Hill, which has rooms and bungalows, is operated by the Motor & Allied Trades Benevolent Fund, a charity for retired industry employees.

Due to an expected drop in income they are looking at ways of cutting staff.
