Riccall Carers care company recruiting

A HUGE expansion in care services has triggered a new bout of recruitment for a York company.

Family-run Riccall Carers, which provides qualified and experienced home-care support workers across North Yorkshire, is taking on up to 15 more staff to meet a growing demand in York.

It is another sign of the growing impetus of the award-winning company which, in only two years, has doubled staff to 140 people. It is a growth that received a fillip when Riccall Carers moved from offices in Riccall House, Riccall, to larger offices at S Harrison’s Escrick Business Park development last summer.

Riccall Carers bosses Gill and Tony Conroy bought the two-storey 1,300sq ft office to cope with expansion and were also attracted by its training facilities to improve quality of service.

Training is a vital element of Riccall Carers’ success. Recently they were awarded the highest possible “excellent” rating by the care home regulatory body, the Care Quality Commission.

And at the inaugural 2008 Great North Care Awards, Leonnie Martin won the Best Trainer Award.
