Revamp At Bradford’s Home For Disabled
A RESIDENTIAL home for people with learning disabilities has opened in Bradford. Park View, in Park View Road, has been transformed from a 16-bed care home into a more spacious 11-bed residential home.
There are facilities for three wheelchair users, a self-contained flat with a kitchenette, a separate area for preparing halal food, a quiet prayer room and a sensory room for people with sensory impairments.
Mark Coup, Brunel Housing’s head of care and support, said: “Park View has been developed to promote independent living for those with learning disabilities, no matter how severe.
“Every inch has been designed to support our service users, from extra large rooms to facilities that support individuals with varying disabilities and from different cultures.”
The agency will consider referrals from local authorities while the costs will be met by social or health care bodies or some residents themselves.
