Social Worker And Mental Health Patient Found Dead
A social worker and a mental health patient were found tied up and stabbed to death in a flat yesterday. Cops discovered the bloody scene when local authority officials reported the social worker missing.
She had failed to show up for a number of appointments in the day.
Officers in Southampton, Hants, found the middle-aged woman in a pool of blood in the hallway with stab wounds. They searched the house and found an older woman who the social worker was visiting in a bedroom. She had also been stabbed. Both were tied up.
Last night police were hunting a youth seen leaving the premises in the Townhill Park area.
A family friend said: “The social worker’s husband was concerned when she did not return home from work. He and a colleague of the woman went to the addresses she was due to visit and found her car parked outside a flat. Police arrived and broke into the flat where they found the poor man’s wife lying dead in the hallway. Another was dead in the bedroom – it was a horrific sight.”
