Finalists announced for England’s Social Worker of the Year Awards 2019

The nominees for this year’s Social Worker of the Year Awards have been announced.

94 practitioners, social work teams and organisations from across England have been shortlisted this year in 16 categories across children’s and adult services, as well as Mental Health Social Worker of the Year, Creative & Innovative Social Work Practice, Practice Educator of the Year and Student Social Worker of the Year.

The winners from each category will be announced at a prestigious awards ceremony in London in November before competing against each other to be named ‘Overall Social Worker of the Year 2019’.

Peter Hay CBE, Chair of The Social Work Awards charity which organises the awards, said: “Thank you to the hundreds of people who took the time to nominate in this year’s awards.
