Ex-manager at care home charged after inquiry into resident’s injuries
A care home manager has been charged with neglect after an 87-year-old resident died in hospital.
Warwickshire Police said Catalina Ferchiu had been charged by officers investigating unexplained injuries to a woman who was a resident at Overslade Care Home in Overslade Lane, Rugby.
The unnamed woman was taken to hospital with injuries on February 2 2018, and died in hospital three weeks later.
Ferchiu, of Pool Close, Rugby, who was a senior nurse manager at the care home, was charged on Tuesday with ill treatment or wilful neglect of an individual, police said.
The 54-year-old will appear before magistrates on March 13.
