Officers were called to the West Kensington flat of Julian Aubrey on October 30 to reports of a man found with stab wounds.
The 55-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene in Shaftesbury Place on Warwick Road, and a post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as multiple stab wounds.
On Wednesday Enrique Facelli, 48, of Shaftesbury Place, Warwick Road was charged with murder, the Metropolitan Police said.
He will appear in custody at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
