Northern Ireland regulator recruiting for Fitness to Practise Committees
The Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) is recruiting for three Lay Chairs and six Social Care Members (five social workers and one social care worker) to join their registration and Fitness to Practise Committees.
For all of these roles, you will need to be able to understand, evaluate and form judgements about complex information to make fair decisions. You must be able to work well in a team and communicate your views clearly and concisely. NISCC will provide you with training in the Rules and processes you must apply in each of these Committees.
Appointments will be dependent on you successfully completing the training. To be eligible for appointment as a Social Work or Social Care Member, you must be registered, or eligible to be registered, with NISCC.
To apply as a Lay Chair, you will also need to have at least three years’ experience of chairing fitness to practise proceedings for a professional regulator.
