Two care workers suffer stab injuries in mental health centre disturbance
A man has been charged after two members of staff suffered suspected stab injuries during a disturbance at a mental health centre.
Police called to a bust-up at the clinic in Bracton Lane, Dartford, Kent, at 11.52am on Sunday found a small fire which was rapidly extinguished.
During the disturbance, two members of staff, both men, were injured, and they were taken to a London hospital where they remain in a serious but stable condition.
Myha Grant, 30, who is understood to have been receiving treatment at the clinic, has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and one of arson with intent to endanger life.
Kent Police said Grant, of no fixed address, will appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
A police spokesman said: “The incident was contained within the centre and there was no risk to the wider public.”
