Survey: Together Scotland research of potential new training programme

Together Scotland is conducting research to inform the development of a potential new training programme on children’s rights, especially relating to the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014.

The Act places duties on public bodies to report on steps they have taken to implement the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) every three years. The duties will commence in 2017, and the first report is due in 2020.

In this context, Together Scotland is investigating the possibility of developing a training programme that will assist organisations to support or take forward these new duties. As part of this research they are mapping the training that is already being provided by charities so that any gaps in provision can be addressed.

They also keen to hear from charities that might themselves be interested in receiving training on children’s rights, especially relating to the Act or the UNCRC.

If you could take ten minutes to fill out the short survey on your organisation’s training needs by Monday 14 September 2015.
