The Care Inspectorate have announced that during 2015 and into 2016 there will be vaccination for seasonal influenza and pneumococcal vaccin for people in in residential care.
Anyone aged 70 years old will be offered a vaccine to provide protection against shingles. The national programme from this year includes the introduction of a meningococcal ACWY vaccine for people at higher risk.

- the person (or their representative) has consented to have the vaccine
- vaccines are supplied and administered legally
- vaccines are stored correctly
- appropriate records are kept.
