Welsh care provider announces 50 jobs across Powys region

A Welsh care provider has announced it has 50 jobs on offer in Newtown, Welshpool and surrounding towns and villages.

Abacare, which has offices in Newtown and Bangor, provides full and accredited training for full or part time positions in the industry.

The company are looking for kind, committed and reliable people, who have excellent communication skills and a genuine care for others.

Dawn Williams, Head of HR at Abacare, said: “We are continuing our long term contract with Powys Council and it’s great news that we can now fill 50 care positions across the area, including Newtown, Welshpool and surrounding towns and villages.

“We can offer full and part time contracts as well as mileage and travel time. We also offer full training with our in-house trainer, which includes a company induction, first aid, information on dementia, health and safety, food safety, infection control, handling medication and moving and handling service users.

“We also offer the Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF), formerly known as National Vocational Qualifications, to all our team members who show commitment, reliability and true passion. We provide a great support network for all of our carers.”
