CELCIS appoint Dr Melissa Van Dyke as new national advisor
The Centre For Excellence for Looked after Children In Scotland (CELCIS) have annouced the appointment of Dr Melissa Van Dyke as their new National Expert Advisor on Implementation.
Melissa joins CELCIS from the National Implementation Research Network at University of North Carolina. She will be working across key areas of CELCIS work as well as with stakeholders to support capacity-building of the social services sector in the areas of improvement and implementation science.
She’ll strengthen efforts to transfer policy and legislation into real practice change across Scotland’s social services.
CLECIS say the timing of her arrival is crucial within the current context of public service reforms, financial austerity and cuts in service delivery.
Melissa will be a keynote speaker at the CELCIS 2015 conference for middle managers and practitioners on Wednesday 7 October and will lead an implementation science masterclass for senior managers the same week. Details of both events will follow soon.
