New SCRA film to help understand children’s hearing process
The Scottish Children Reporter Administration (SCRA) has launched a new film to help children and young people prepare for, and have a greater understanding of, children’s hearings.
‘Going To A Children’s Hearing’ was created in consultation with young people, from the appointment of the film company to the filming of the product.
The SCRA would like to encourage people who work with children and young people involved in the children’s hearings system to watch the film and also to urge children and young people attending hearings to view it before attending their hearing.
Please also remember that pre-hearing visits are always available for children and young people and these can be requested at any time via the child/young person’s reporter or a member of SCRA staff.
This film also appears on SCRA website and there is also a subtitled and British Sign Language version of the film in their Easy read section.
