Guidance: Health And Social Care Integration Principles (Scotland)
The Scottish Government has published guidance to support planned and delivery of health and social care integration in line with the principles they have set out.
The Public Bodies (Joint Working) (Scotland) Act 2014, which legislated for health and social care integration, sets out a series of twelve principles which will underpin integrated health and social care.
This includes integrating support and services from the point of view of people who use them, taking account of particular needs and respecting the rights of people who use support and sevrices.
This guidance aims to support each Health and Social Care Partnership to make sure that when planning and delivering health and social care support and services in their area these principles are integral to that process.
