NI child sexual exploitation awareness events
As part of the first phase of the Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) “THE MORE YOU KNOW THE MORE YOU SEE” awareness campaign the area panels of the Safeguarding Board for Northern Ireland (SBNI) will be hosting a number of workshop-style events over the coming months.
The events will take place in each of the Safeguarding Panel areas and will provide an opportunity for face-to-face interaction with local community groups and representatives.
The aim is to explore the nature of Child Sexual Exploitation in NI and equip participants with the knowledge and skills to identify and deal with the issue in their work with young people. There will also be an opportunity to consider the messages delivered in the context of various settings and get tailored information.
Workshop topics will include:
- Peer on peer CSE
- Safer Choices
- CSE in the context of sexual health/RSE
- Agency responses to CSE
