Social care graduate scheme gets the green light

The National Skills Academy for Social Care will shortly be opening applications to a fifth cohort of its Graduate Management Training Scheme.

Following some uncertainty around funding, the Skills Academy will focus on recruiting 10 exceptional graduates for the programme after Easter.

From October 2014, Cohort 5 will embark on a year of management and leadership experience through a paid placement in one of our member organisations, complemented by a tailored training programme and work towards an ILM Level 4 management qualification.

Past trainees have gone on to embrace the learning experience and complete highly successful placements, adding value in a variety of social care organisations from care providers to local authorities and national bodies with a policy and strategic remit.

The Skills Academy is now seeking host organisations for this year’s trainees who can offer an ambitious graduate a fast paced development experience and a kick start to their management career in social care.
