RDS ordered to make improvements to Marine House care home
A care home operator ordered to close a site in Inverness has been instructed to make urgent improvements at a property it runs on the Black Isle.
Watchdog, the Care Inspectorate, has issued RDS Healthcare with an improvement notice for its Marine House in Rosemarkie.
The company has been asked to ensure residents are not at a risk of malnutrition and dehydration.
RDS, which has shut Clachnaharry House in Inverness, has made no comment.
At Marine House, the firm has also been asked to make sure medicines are properly administered and accurate records kept.
Earlier this month, Clachnaharry House had its licence to operate cancelled after the Care Inspectorate expressed significant concerns about the care offered.
NHS Highland suspended its admissions to the home in November 2012. The home’s 18 residents have been moved to other accommodation.
