£100k boost for East Lothian day centres

Additional funding of £100,000 for day centres was approved at a meeting of East Lothian Council’s Cabinet on Tuesday.

The cash will be used by facilities across the county to support and expand the activities they provide for elderly people.

Councillor Paul McLennan, Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care, said “This additional £100.000 will provide a much welcomed boost to their income.

“Each centre provides a range of meaningful activities for older people.”
