Registration of residential child care workforce with SSSC

The Scottish Government has sent a letter to directors of social work and residential child care providers (see letter below) in relation to the registration of the residential child care workforce with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

The letter highlights just 59% of residential care staff are currently registered with a qualification condition that must be achieved by the end of 2012, to enable them to remain on the register and able to continue to work within residential child care.
