Scottish Care Accolades 2009 finalists announced
Nineteen finalists have been announced for Care Accolades 2009, the prestigious awards for the social service workforce in Scotland.
This year’s winners will be announced at the award ceremony and event on 5 June at The Caird Hall, Dundee.
The Care Accolades organised by the SSSC in partnership with the Scottish Government is an important event which provides the sector with the opportunity to promote an exciting and imaginative range of projects and good practice with other social service organisations.
Garry Coutts, chair of the 2009 Care Accolades judging panel said,
“We received a record 156 entries this year, more than double the number of submissions compared to last year. This is a very encouraging sign that the social services sector continues to provide exemplary services and good practices for the public.
“Congratulations to all the finalists. Choosing a shortlist is always difficult when the number and standard of entries is high. The Care Accolades gives organisations the chance to highlight the excellent work that takes place and touches the lives of all of us at some point.”
