Cash Boost For Aberdeen Charity’s Jobs Service
Businesswomen in Aberdeen have helped a leading charity support people looking for work.
The employment service of Cornerstone Community Care has received cash from the Aberdeen Businesswoman’s Network.
Over the past year, the group has collected money at its monthly fundraising events.
And the funds raised have all gone to the learning disabilities charity.
The employment service run by Cornerstone aims to help people with additional needs access work, which allows them to become more independent.
Group President Alison Beddie was invited to meet Lorraine Dalgarno, who has been supported by the service.
She said members were delighted to be able to help the vital service and was pleased to be able to meet one of the people it benefits.
Ms Beddie added: “As business women we support the right of each individual to meaningful employment and it is fantastic that Cornerstone’s employment service is able to make this a reality for the people they support.”
