Redhill care home manager wins sector “Oscar”
A group of care homes, which has a site in Redhill, has won an award at this year’s Surrey Care Awards.
Carebase, a group specialising in dementia care in the South East and East Anglia, is celebrating its win at regional level.
Organised by the Surrey Care Association, the awards are the county’s “Oscars” for adult social care, recognising outstanding dedication of individuals and teams working in the sector.
Monica Prosser, manager at Carebase’s Acorn Court Care Home in Redhill, was awarded Manager of The Year at the ceremony at the Epsom Down Racecourse.
The title recognizes Ms Prosser’s outstanding leadership and management skills in developing a service and a team that delivers consistently good results for the Acorn Court residents.
Nicola Coveney, Carebase managing director, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have won this regional award.”
She said: “As a company we pride ourselves on the wonderful staff who work at our homes, and we are happy that Monica’s hard work and commitment have been recognized.
“At Carebase, the staff receive excellent training to ensure all residents are treated like VIPs.
