An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen to join our Initial Contact Team within the Health and Social Care Partnership, Adult Services. Working across East Renfrewshire you will be working within a friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team responding to our residents’ health and social care concerns and queries. This will involve undertaking duty work for the team, managing a caseload on a short term basis, screening, assessing, and reviewing individual cases in line with our Supporting People Framework. Ensuring individuals get access to all of the appropriate services available to them, their carer’s and families at the right time.
You will have a good understanding of the current health and social care landscape; self-directed support; the value of outcomes focussed supports for people to enable them to live in their communities and recognise the value of forming effective relationships with other professionals and agencies. This includes the importance of our third sector and community partnerships, and the key role they play in supporting individuals across East Renfrewshire.

If you are not currently registered with SSSC you will commence employment as a Social Work Assistant (Grade 7 – £29,745 to £31,954) until full registration is obtained.
This post requires Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) registration. You must currently have registration or eligibility to apply from commencement of employment (you must apply to register within the first 3 months of employment to ensure registration is complete within 6 months of starting in your role).
