We are looking for a Care Assistant at Sandwell. The candidate will be required to have experience working within Care (preferably dementia care), along with the following essential criteria:
· NVQ2 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent.
· Experience working with administering, ordering, storing and disposing of medicine and ability to meet the policy procedure for this.
· Previous experience of supervising staff.
The care home is a purpose built residential unit for people with dementia. We are looking for someone who has a passion for dementia care. The role includes providing leadership to a small team to ensure that person-centred care is delivered to meet the individual needs and expectations of the service users and ensure their safety and wellbeing. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the needs of older people with dementia, effective communication skills and be able to produce clear and accurate records.
Enhanced Adults DBS is required for this role.
