Job Title: Service Manager

Shifts: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (varied hours between Monday and Sunday)

Role Overview
As a Service Manager, you will report to the Area Manager and ensure consistent, high-quality care across the services you oversee. You’ll empower adults with various needs, including learning disabilities and autism, to lead fulfilling lives in a supportive environment. Your responsibilities will include:
– Supporting your team to deliver excellent care and adhere to our Quality Framework.
– Creating a safe, effective, and well-led service in compliance with regulatory frameworks.
– Managing resources creatively to meet budgeted income and performance levels.
– Upholding our values and leadership charter, delivering our strategy, and engaging with stakeholders.

Key Skills and Experience Required
Essential:
– Previous managerial experience in social care.
– Good general education.
– Confident IT user.
– Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, including the Care Standards Act 2000 and CQC.
– Mandatory training qualifications (e.g., fire safety, first aid, food hygiene).
– Satisfactory Police Check and ISA List check (if applicable).
– Commitment to Equal Opportunities and the aims of Amber Mace.
– Ability to conduct spot checks during varied hours.
Desirable:
– NVQ Level 5 in Social Care or willingness to achieve it within a specified timeframe.
– Experience in managing commissioned hours and creating rotas.
– Knowledge of the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) framework.
– Access to transport for travel between locations.
