The candidate will have knowledge and understanding of the support needs of people with a Learning Disability and or Physical Disability.
The candidate will have experience of working in a care setting providing support for Service Users. Previous experience should include moving and handling experience, providing personal support for Service Users, enabling Service Users to achieve their individual outcomes and working in a team to provide appropriate activities both within the care setting and in the local community.
You should be of sufficient flexibility to undertake a wide variety of specialist tasks and be prepared to learn and develop skills beyond those which he or she brings initially to the job.
Desirable qualification for this post is SVQ Level 2 in Social Care.
Currently this post does not require registration with the SSSC however we anticipate this may change in the future and when required the successful candidate will be expected to register with the SSSC.
You will work 29.23 hours per week, salary pro-rata.
