We are looking to recruit two motivated, practice ambitious people to join our justice social work services as a Team Manager. You will lead on and promote excellent service delivery and provide high-quality support and supervision to a range of workers based in our Justice Teams.
One post is based in our fieldwork team and covers most areas of justice social work casework. The other post is based within our Pathways service. This service provides specialist casework and groupwork interventions, working with people convicted of sexual offences. Both posts will also provide opportunities to work across and manage wider service activities.
As a Team Manager you will be an integral part of the Justice Service Management Team striving to deliver best services in line with the Scottish Vision for Justice. You will support the effective delivery of service in line with legislation, guidance, policies, and procedures for Justice Social Work Services, both locally and nationally.
A necessity for this post is your sound social work value base that always respects and balances the rights of everyone within the justice system. This includes the individual, the victim and the wider community.
You will have significant operational experience and knowledge of the broad landscape of contemporary justice social work practice. You will be able to demonstrate that you can model, promote, and deliver best practice within your team.
You will share our key commitment to our practitioners in terms of their professional support, learning and development. Your own practice will be aligned to trauma-informed, relationship and strengths-based practice that underpins our work.
Degree level qualification, Degree in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work (DipSw) or equivalent is essential.
You must have proven experience of leading and managing a service or team in line with professional standards and codes of practice, experience of partnership working and delivering outcomes with partners aswell as experience in policy implementation and experience of working in a statutory Justice Social Work setting.
Working knowledge of legislation and best practice, Effective leadership, interpersonal and written and communication skills including the ability to produce reports on complex issues is also essential.
