Liverpool Early Help is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join our team and support Early Help interventions with Children and Families across Liverpool.
The purpose of this role is to target support to children who are at risk of family breakdown, struggling with emotional and behavioural difficulties, experiencing Neglect, domestic abuse, parental mental health and/or substance/alcohol misuse issues. The aim of the intervention is to prevent escalation to statutory services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work with children and families to assess their needs and develop tailored support plans.
* Provide direct support to children and families, including counselling, therapy, and practical assistance.
* Work with other agencies to coordinate support and ensure that families receive the help they need.
* Advocate for children and families to ensure that their needs are met.
Essential Requirements:
* Degree in Social Work
* Registration with Social Work England
* Experience working with children and families
* Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Requirements:
* Experience working in an Early Help setting
* Knowledge of Liverpool City Region
* Experience working with families from diverse backgrounds
Salary: £35 per hour
