* Feeding: Helping patients eat and drink
* Moving and handling: Using equipment to lift and move patients, and helping them move around safely
* Monitoring: Taking patients' vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, respirations, and weight
* Record keeping: Keeping patient records up to date, including medical histories and observations
* Communication: Talking to patients reassuring them, and communicating with other healthcare professionals
* Cleaning: Making beds, changing bedding
