Our Reablement Support at Home Service operates seven days per week between the hours of 7am and 10pm. Our service takes a strengths-based approach to assessing and supporting adults and older people to maximise their independence.
We are looking to strengthen our team by recruiting several new care workers. As an integral part of the team you will be contracted to work 21 hours per week and will be paid a shift allowance in addition to your basic salary.
You will be provided with uniform, PPE and will have use of a phone. Although working within the West Lothian Community we also have an office base with regular staff drop in meetings to connect with colleagues and gain support from Team Leaders.
You will take part in our training programme and where required we will support you to achieve the appropriate SVQ qualification for your professional registration through the SSSC.
It is important that you enjoy working with people, have empathy and thrive in an environment which is fast paced and no two days are the same. You should be committed to providing good quality care and support in people’s homes and be wiling to work a shift pattern as these roles will consist of morning shifts 0700-1300 and evening shifts 1600-2200.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the West Lothian Council
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC.
