Social Worker – Children and Families
As the HSCP continues its journey to implement the recommendations from the National Care Review and realise the ambition of The Promise we are seeking a confident practitioner to join our team. Ideally you will have experience as a practitioner in all aspects of voluntary and statutory community children’s social work, with a clear track record of working successfully in partnership with children and young people and their families as well as other partners to achieve positive outcomes. However We also welcome applications from practitioners who are starting out in their career or those seeking a new challenge in Children’s Services.
Children’s Services in Inverclyde is at the beginning of an exciting period of change, to equip us to continue to meet the needs of our communities, support more children to remain at home and provide a high standard of support to families when they need it.
Our area teams provide high quality assessments and support to children and their families through some of the most challenging periods in their life. Your role will interact with families experiencing risk and high levels of need. Working in conjunction with Health, education and Police colleagues as well as our highly involved 3rd sector partners you will play a key role in identifying and improving outcomes for children and young people locally. As their lead professional you will work alongside them to help them find ways to overcome challenges, feel safe and be confident they are supported.
