Learning zone tickets for national social care conference in Cardiff now available
Social Care Wales has announced tickets are now available for the learning zone sessions at Wales’s first National Social Care Conference, which takes place on 11-13 September 2018 at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff.
The learning zone, which is running in parallel to the main conference, features a series of short sessions aimed at practitioners.
The sessions cover a range of topics from preventing the abuse of older people, improving the experiences of children who are looked-after and working with people with autism.
Registered social care workers can attend these learning zone sessions for a limited promotional price of £15 per half day, which includes refreshments, and attendance will count towards post-registration training and learning. Tickets for non-registered social care workers cost £30 per half day.
The learning zone ticket will also give practitioners an opportunity to find out more about different aspects of care from dozens of exhibitors, learn about current research and evidence-based practice, and share experiences with colleagues from the sector.
For more detailed information about the sessions, including information about the topics, presenters and a schedule, download the draft version of the learning zone programme below.
The conference, which was formerly known as the National Social Services Conference, is being jointly organised by the Association of Directors of Social Services (ADSS) Cymru and Social Care Wales.
