Workshops will explore homecare and care recruitment issues across Wales
Social Care Wales (SCW) are hosting a series of workshops to explore what you think of two of their exciting work areas for 2017- 2018.
The workshops will provide participants with the opportunity hear about and contribute to this work and SCW are encouraging as many care professionals to get involved. Specifically, the workshops will look at:
Care and support at home
More and more people are choosing to live in their own homes with increasingly complex needs, with care and support at home when they need it. SCW are working on a plan that will say what needs to be done over the next five years to make care and support at home in Wales as good as it can be. Tell SCW how you think they can work together to improve well-being through care and support at home.
Careers, recruitment and retention
SCW know there is a problem in the sector with recruitment, retention and careers, so they have developed a draft national framework and work plan to help address those issues. You can have your say on whether the focus is right and whether what they plan to do is the best way forward for the social care and early years and childcare sector. SCW would also like to hear of anything you might be doing regionally and locally which could fit into the framework.
