Required for 9 hours per week, on a fixed term basis of one year, to work with young people and volunteers within Pointers Drop-In Centre. This would involve developing relationships, identifying needs and responding to those needs. Assist in planning and to deliver and evaluate structured youth work sessions and youth awards.
The hours of the posts are as follows:
Wednesday 3.15 pm – 5:15 pm
Friday 1.00 pm – 5.00 pm
1 evening weekend shift (generally 7.30 pm – 10.30 pm)
You will have proven experience of working with young people, have the ability to set up and supervise group sessions, and have knowledge of health and safety and child protection implications for working with young people. The flexibility to work evenings and weekends is essential.
Appointment to the post is on a fixed term basis for one year.
Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance.
