The Criminal Justice Service in Clackmannanshire is committed to delivering a range of custodial and community sentences for those convicted of offences by the Courts. Of the 9 requirements a Court can make when imposing a Community Payback Order, ‘Unpaid Work’ is often the most commonly used by the Courts across Scotland and can be used as an alternative to custody. The post holder will therefore work as part of a busy team to help plan, organise and supervise those individuals sentenced by the Courts to carry out a wide variety of tasks that are of benefit to the local community.
We encourage individuals to develop practical and social skills as part of their sentence and through this to develop personal responsibility for their actions, enhance their employability and to improve their relationship with communities.
This post is considered regulated work with children and/or protected adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. You will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Clackmannanshire Council.
Clackmannanshire Council welcomes applications from everyone and we value diversity in our workforce.
