An exciting opportunity has arisen with Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability’s TARA Service. TARA (Trafficking Awareness Raising Alliance) is a service which provides a Scotland wide assessment and support service to vulnerable women who have been trafficked for commercial sexual exploitation.
We are seeking to recruit a Training Officer to join our small, busy team providing frontline response to survivors of human trafficking and exploitation recovered in Scotland. This post is being recruited on a fixed-term basis until 31 March 2022, based on current Scottish Government funding, and the work pattern will be 3 days across Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm (inclusive of a 1-hour unpaid break). The exact work pattern will be agreed with the successful candidate at the point of officer.
The role of the Training Officer is to develop, facilitate and maintain various training packages on the issue of Human Trafficking and Exploitation for the purpose of commercial sexual exploitation for a variety of external organisations. The post will also be responsible for researching, collating and disseminating up to date information on the issue of Human Trafficking and best practice ensure all training is well informed and to support the work of the wider TARA team.
