An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Housing team. This post is to actively engage with and provide support to tenants and residents of Council properties and schemes. This is to ensure they have the opportunity to contribute their views to service delivery, policy development and other issues which affect them. This is to ensure the Council meets its statutory requirements in tenant participation.
This is a varied and challenging role providing support to existing tenant / resident groups, encouraging new groups to form, facilitating focus groups, supporting the residents’ panel and encouraging tenant involvement in scrutiny of services. The postholder will seek to further develop tenant / resident participation for the Council. They will work in partnership with relevant stakeholders to ensure effective community engagement which will help to inform service planning and delivery.
The post is part-time and hours are relatively flexible. There will be a need for the postholder to work evenings and weekends on occasion to support the relevant groups.
To be successful, you will have the ability to provide a high level of customer care and be a good, confident communicator who is able to cope with a wide variety of situations.
