This is an exciting opportunity to join the Housing Services team. As the Tenant and Resident Participation Officer, you will be responsible for leading tenant engagement, participation and tenant scrutiny activities.

You will ensuring tenants and resident get clear and effective communication through Tenants Newsletters, and publication on the Council website and Forum websites as appropriate.

You will developing innovate ways to ensure all tenants and residents can participate, have their say and influence the key priorities for the Housing service.

Ideally, we would like to see candidates with CIH qualifications, however it is most important that you have a working knowledge and understanding of operating a housing services and understanding of tenant participation best practice.

Please note that it is Midlothian Councils policy that successful applicants will be appointed to the first point on the salary scale.

Based on you working 36 hours over 52 weeks per year the minimum actual salary for this position is £25,265.56 per annum.

Requirements

Compliance with the mandatory Cabinet Office PSN (Public Sector Network) Code of Connection requires the Council to meet a baseline personal security standard.
