Your new company:
You will be working for Hays Social Care, a specialist leader in Social Care recruitment in the UK. We are currently recruiting within the Coventry and Warwickshire area for experienced support workers who we can confidentially put forward to our clients across the Social Care sector.

Your new role:
You will be required to work closely with vulnerable adults in residential care settings who suffer with a variety of complex behaviours. You must be fully prepared to use your initiative when dealing with sometimes challenging behaviour. As a Temporary Support Worker with Hays you will work flexibly by providing us with your availability allowing you to work around other commitments. This role is an ongoing basis with opportunities to go from temporary to permanent.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with daily activities, such as, medication and meal preparation
• Building trusted and positive relationships with the service user and staff
• Provide personal, practical and emotional support
• Respond and use initiative if faced with challenging behaviour
• Writing daily and weekly reports

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Ideally possess an NVQ Level 2 or Level 3
• Have a minimum of six months experience working in a social care setting within the last two years
• Passionate about supporting the needs of vulnerable people
• Excellent verbal and communication skills
