Your new company:
You will be working for Hays Social Care, a specialist leader in Social Care recruitment in the UK. We are currently recruiting within the Corby, Northampton area for experienced support workers who we can confidentially put forward to our clients across the Social Care sector.

Your new role:
You will be required to work closely with vulnerable children in residential care settings who suffer with a variety of complex behaviours. You must be fully prepared to use your initiative when dealing with sometimes challenging behaviour. As a Temporary Support Worker with Hays you will work flexibly by providing us with your availability allowing you to work around other commitments. This role is an ongoing basis with opportunities to go from temporary to permanent.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Supporting children with their behaviour, physical and mental well-being
• Assisting and offering support with children’s education and training
• Ensure children receive the best start in life as possible to carry them through to adulthood
• Respond and use initiative if faced with challenging behaviour
• Encourage independence and opportunities to learn and grow

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Ideally possess an NVQ Level 2 or Level 3
• Have a minimum of six months experience working in a residential setting within the last two years
• Experience working with children
• Passionate about supporting the needs of vulnerable people
• Excellent verbal and communication skills
