Your new company:
You will be working for Hays Social Care, a market leader in Social Care recruitment in the UK. We are currently recruiting within the Coventry and Warwickshire area for a qualified support worker who we can confidentially put forward to our various clients across the Social Care sector.

Your new role:
You will be required to work closely with vulnerable adults in residential care settings who suffer with a variety of complex physical and emotional behaviours. You will be responsible for encouraging and supporting service users to reach a certain level of independence in which they can look to move from residential to supported living. You must be fully prepared to use your initiative when dealing with occasional challenging behaviour.

As a Temporary Support Worker with Hays you are able to work flexibly by providing us with your availability allowing you to work around other commitments. This role is an ongoing basis.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with daily activities, such as, medication and meal preparation
• Providing extra support and care for adults with learning disabilities
• Building trusted and positive relationships with the service user and staff
• Provide personal, practical and emotional support

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Ideally possess an NVQ Level 2 or Level 3
• Have a minimum of six months experience working in a residential setting within the last two years (References must be provided)
• Passionate about supporting the needs of vulnerable people
• Be confident in your ability to think on your feet
• Excellent communication skills
