Technology Enabled Care Assessor Installer x 2
£24,799 – £26,999
The vision for Adult Social Care in Bristol is for people to get the right level and type of support, at the right time to help prevent, reduce or delay the need for ongoing support, and to maximise people’s independence.
In order to achieve this, we are committed to helping people to use more technology as part of their packages of care and support. This means increasing the use of traditional care technology items such as pendant alarms and medication reminders, as well as adopting new innovations such as apps or predictive analytics as they become available.
By growing the use of care technology, it will enable citizens to live longer at home and within their own communities. In turn this will lead to a reduction in the proportion of adults being supported by more-costly residential/nursing provision for lengthy periods of time.
A number of exiting opportunities have arisen in the newly formed Technology Enabled Care (TEC) Service which will launch in March 2020. The new service will be responsible for assessing people with support needs in their own homes and subsequently identifying and installing the right TEC for the right situation.
We are looking for Assessor Installers for the new TEC service.
You will be a motivated, dedicated and flexible individual ideally with a Social Care background who values the importance of TEC and understand as part of a Service User’s Package of Care, how it can benefit people in helping them live more independently at home.
As part of the TEC Service team, you will play a key part in making sure the right TEC is identified and that service users and their carers are given ongoing support once the TEC is in place.
Please note that this role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.
