The main focus of this role will be to manage our Justice Throughcare Team for 12 months (maternity cover).  This team is responsible for the supervision and management of our post custody licenses and Orders.  Applicants should have considerable experience of statutory Justice Social Work and risk assessment tools.  This role will require a good level of legislative knowledge relevant to the post and the ability to support staff to work with challenging and complex cases.

This post will also be responsible for managing our domestic abuse programme and will contribute, along with the extended management to the wider service development and operational management. 

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the West Lothian Council

This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from commencement in this post to register with the SSSC.  If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account.
