As part of a management team you will have responsibility for our fostering, adoption, kinship and supported care services. These services have recently completed Best Value Service Reviews and the successful candidate will be working on an exciting period of implementation and change as we continue to respond to ‘The Promise’ in East Ayrshire.
You will oversee a team of Social Workers, managing day to day operational demands to serve and meet the needs of our carers across the respective services. We are looking for a candidate who understands the relational nature of the post and who has a strong set of values that echo those set out in The Promise underpinning their practice. As a team manager in Corporate Parenting, you will work closely with locality colleagues, carers and a range of stakeholders to ensure that our service is constantly developing and keeping pace with local demands and national best practice.
East Ayrshire has sought to strongly position itself as a service that heeds the voice of the child and those we serve in how it delivers services. It is with this ethos that the post holder would seek to carry out day to day managerial tasks.

As a Children’s Health, Care and Justice Service we are keen to be the best we can be, we support innovation and transformational change, and nurture new ideas from our workforce. The successful candidate will be pivotal in helping us deliver on our Corporate Parenting Action Plan, Children & Young People’s Strategic Plan, in addition to our Best Value Improvement Plans.
