We are actively seeking a skilled, motivated and forward-thinking team manager to join our team. We are looking to recruit a Team Manager for one of our locality teams. Specifically, we are looking for a manager who is adaptable and able to lead and support staff through the process of change. There is an expectation that the Team Manager will be committed to the wider Council of the Future agenda as well as the service specific priorities within the Childrens’ Services Closer to Home strategy.
The Team Manager will have a pivotal role in leading and supporting the team in driving forward service development and improvements. Within Falkirk, we have a culture of learning and development and the successful candidate would model this approach and promote this culture within their locality and across the service.
The postholder will be responsible for the management of a team of qualified Social Workers as well as Social Work Assistants and will support staff to develop and maintain high practice standards and achieve the best possible outcomes for children and families in the area.

The postholder will also be expected to contribute to the wider development of the service.
A DipSw or equivalent, registration with SSSC and experience within a statutory children and families social work service are essential requirements for the post.
The postholder will have had management and supervisory experience. You will also be expected to be able to evidence a commitment to continuous professional development.
